RDECOM MATREX Program

The US Army's Research, Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM) Modeling Architecture for Technology, Research and Experimentation (MATREX) is the Army’s foremost distributed modeling and simulation (M&S) environment. It is designed to reduce program cost, schedule and technical risk across the acquisition milestone spectrum. The MATREX Program provides a unifying M&S architecture, supporting tools, and an infrastructure that ease the integration and use of multi-resolution Live, Virtual, and Constructive (L-V-C) applications.

Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC VT)
The JTAC VT is a fully immersive simulator that supports the training of Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTAC) in the mission areas of Close Air Support (CAS), Suppression of Enemy Air Defense (SEAD), and Call for Fire (CFF). The simulation provides a 360-degree visual field of view, high-fidelity emulations of Battlefield Airman Operations (BAO) Toolkit equipment, real radio communications, and a high fidelity SAF simulation of both threat and asset entities. This environment encapsulates the JTAC, enabling him to perform his duties as if he were on a live training range, or deployed at a forward observation point.

Naval Surface Warfare Center –Carderock
DAS provides engineering services, computer programming, and program management in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) in the NSWC Prototype Development Facility in Carderock, MD. Support includes integration and development of the Submarine Multi-Mission Team Trainer (SMMTT) Phase 3, the Common Operator Analysis and Employment Trainer (COAET), the Acoustic Analysis Trainer (AAT) and Sonar Tactical Decision Aid (STDA). Additional integration and development support was provided for the Submarine Tactical Decision Aid line of products and other tactical decision aids including the Common Undersea Picture and Undersea Warfare Tactical Decision Aid.

FEMA/NFA-USDA/USFS
Since Spring 2000, Dynamic Animation Systems has been supporting the US Fire Administration in improving emergency responder training through the use of simulation and network technology. The first major tasks DAS undertook were to improve the infrastructure available to support network simulation development and delivery. DAS was able to achieve these improvements by migrating National Fire Academy (NFA) technology from aging specialty computer systems to inexpensive and easily supported PC platforms. The cost savings realized by this strategy resulted in higher fidelity simulations with fixed development costs and lower maintenance costs.

Assured Mobility Simulator (AMS)

DAS developed and integrated the AMS for the US Army RDECOM-TARDEC, Sensor Technology Integration Team.  The Sensor Technology Integration Team mission is to provide support for advanced sensor integration, on and off-route clearance, countermine systems, and modeling and simulation of wheeled and tracked vehicle systems to include all aspects of concept development, design and integration.
